E-grocery accounts for third of Yandex’s 2021 e-commerce GMV

MOSCOW, Feb 16 (PRIME) -- About a third of the gross merchandise value (GMV) of all the e-commerce services of Russia’s Yandex in 2021 was presented by e-grocery with the turnover rising to 57.5 billion rubles from 24 billion rubles in 2020, the Internet company said in a statement late on Tuesday.

“The gross merchandise value of Yandex’s e-grocery reached a record high of 57.5 billion rubles in 2021. This figure includes the vertical of consumer goods of Yandex.Market, results of Yandex.Lavka in Russia and retail of Yandex.Eats,” the company said.

The total GMV of e-commerce almost tripled in 2021 to 160 billion rubles.
